Lime Green FlowerBox with Tulips

The meaning of tulips is generally perfect love . Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty.Today we’re creating a simple design using a lime green silhouette vase, aspidistra leaves and milti-colored tulips to create a bit of spring!

To start, open the vase in the opposite way from which it was folded to loosen the folds. Then tuck in each of the corners along the score marks. From there, fold the bottom flaps in according to the directions on the bottom. Each flap is marked 1,2,3 etc. in the order they should be folded. Tuck the tab in at the bottom to secure. Once the bottom is secure, tie the neck with the enclosed rubber band, or a piece of floral wire.

Next, add a variegated leaf ribbon you can find at the flower market or most craft stores around the neck of the vase. Secure with UGlu dots. I love that this ribbon will tie nicely to our variegated aspidistra leaves. Add water with flower food and begin the design by adding aspidistra leaves that I’ve stapled into loops.

Finally, add tulips to the design.. Remember, tulips will continue to grow, so add at a slightly lower length than you might otherwise think. They will definitely move and grow to fill in.

This unique design is bursting with the colors of spring! The variegated ribbon and aspidistra along with the lime silhouette vase only add to the fresh feeling of this design.

Now it’s your turn! Send me your ideas at Travis@FlowerBox.com. And as always, have a great flowering day!
